In my photography, I’ve always turned to the people closest to me, at one point that happened to be a community of underground rappers.. at another, activists at Occupy Wall Street... Since creating my own family, this network of wildness has only intensified, revealing the absurdity that often lurks in even the most mundane moments and the beautiful chaos that defines our lives
This collection dives deep into my world: photographs of my daughter, the raw reality of losing my mother, and the everyday madness within our home. Many of these images are part of my forthcoming book, documenting the interplay of life, death, and rebirth that has unfolded here over the past six years.
In this journey of becoming parents while caring for our own parents, the weight of life can feel overwhelming. Yet, amidst the piles of responsibilities and the impossibility of it all, there is still light to be found. These photographs reflect that tension—the way we navigate joy and grief, creativity and chaos, capturing the wild beauty of our existence, even under the weight of it all.
